Meeting People: Wellness

In my most recent post, I talked about Young Living as a way of meeting great like-minded people. There was a time in my life that I would have been saying, and maybe you are saying it now, who cares? Why do I need Young Living to meet new people? I can meet people anywhere.

Sure you can meet people anywhere. How are those people going to impact you though? Will they encourage the wellness you desire? Do they see greatness in you, and are they going to help you achieve greatness? Not everyone you meet will. You need people, good people. You aren’t meant to do life alone. No matter how introverted you are, you still need people. As an introvert myself, I love my alone time. I cherish it (hence I am up ALONE at 12:30am typing alone and enjoying the quiet).

YL Convention 2015

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Love and good deed are what we are to strive for. It seems in the verse that meeting together and encouraging each other are an important part of that.

Doing small things alone is simple. The big goals are different. The significant needs in your life are, well, more significant. These situations require a solid base of people who think and believe what you think and believe.

When striving for a life of wellness, you need to surround yourself with people who care for their health. You need people who are mindful in regards to what they eat. You need people who value fitness and make it a priority. You need people who research their decisions.

young living mission statement, wellness, purpose, abundance

Young Living has a mission statement and truly desires its members to have wellness, purpose, and abundance. It all starts with wellness.

Young Living allows you to meet people who will look at you, and listen to your excuses. Then, the right people, the ones you and I need, will call you on those excuses and tell you to do it anyway.

That is one of the things I love about Sara Wallace. She is not afraid to go on facebook live and do a video regarding an excuse she is seeing you (and probably many others) make. She probably won’t mention your name, but sometimes you just know that someone is speaking to you.

wellness is a lifestyle

Wellness is a lifestyle, and truthfully, it is a difficult one when bombarded daily with the typical American lifestyle and diet. That is exactly why you need people in your life. You need people to encourage you treat your body like a temple. You need people to spur you on toward wellness. You need people who see the greatness in you, and desire to help you achieve it.

Get these people in your life! Let Young Living help you on your path to wellness.

Meet the Best People

Young Living is a great way to meet some of the best people!

Jim Rohn is quoted as saying “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

I have found this to be absolutely true! There was a time that all of my time was spent around negative, unhappy people. During those times I found ever so much to be unhappy about.

Thankfully for me, about six years ago I joined Young Living, and through this amazing company I have met some amazing people. I have posted many times about my dear friend Carrie.

I also met her amazing daughter, the now Diamond leader Sara Wallace. Her and I did a vendor booth together years ago which was fun. It has been even more fun to watch her grow into an amazing leader, wife, and mom. She is always learning and growing and challenges those around her to do the same.

My favorite though is one that I met at another vendor booth for a cloth diapering mom’s group. I met my friend Tonya there, among many other people. Who knew then that she would end up being one of my favorite friends?

That’s the beauty of Young Living. You meet like minded people who have similar goals, so you end up wanting to spend time with them, encouraging them in the pursuit of those goals. You learn and grow together, celebrating the successes of the people you care about.

It’s not just about business, though. When you truly find “your tribe,” you truly value the friendship, you form a true friendship. You share, laugh, and go through the happy and the tough moments of life together. In fact, we recently scheduled time together to work. We ended up doing no work. We talked and watched our kids play together the whole time. All the work was done through text later that evening!

Meeting people with goals and vision can help motivate you to find then reach your own goals and vision. The best way to succeed in life is to surround yourself with people who are already successful in the areas of life that you want to improve.

Young Living has them all! I have met faith-filled wives and mothers. I have met influential business leaders. I have met humble home-schooling moms. I have met health gurus. I have also met some of the most giving and generous people I know.

I want to be more like all these ladies (well, I am not so sure on the home school business, haha). I admire the amazing ladies I have met through Young Living and value their friendship. I hope to spend more and more time with these kinds of people. They are my tribe. I want to be like them, so I like to spend my time and energy with them.

Washers, Dryers, and Laundry Soap

My washer and dryer both broke two weeks ago, right before we needed to leave to go to my son’s third birthday party. Nice and convenient, right? I have been at the laundromat and doing laundry at my parents house since then. Doing laundry for that many people is a chore to begin with, but now I have to travel with my laundry, and try to keep my 3 kids from being over-the-top rambunctious. I need all the Stress Away and Peace and Calming for sure! This blog post is really to talk to you about your laundry though.

I have used “free and clear” type of detergents for many years. Having babies in the house has kept me conscious of what I am using. Look up some of the ingredients in your current detergent. Do a google search of those ingredients that you can’t pronounce.

I have heard of babies having sensitivity to the dyes and fragrances in different detergents, and I have known a few people who are sensitive to a major brand of laundry detergent that has been on the market since before I was born.

At the 2015 Young Living convention, one of the new products was Thieves Laundry Soap. I was excited then, and I am still excited over the Thieves laundry soap. I have used this on my family’s laundry since then, including the laundry for the baby I have had since convention last year. I love that I actually have a scent to my laundry now and I don’t have to worry about what is touching their skin. Your skin is your largest organ, so keeping yucky ingredients off of it is important. Oh, and it is kind of fun being the only person at the laundromat who has Thieves Laundry Soap. I love to be different!
