Young Living is a great way to meet some of the best people!
Jim Rohn is quoted as saying “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
I have found this to be absolutely true! There was a time that all of my time was spent around negative, unhappy people. During those times I found ever so much to be unhappy about.
Thankfully for me, about six years ago I joined Young Living, and through this amazing company I have met some amazing people. I have posted many times about my dear friend Carrie.
I also met her amazing daughter, the now Diamond leader Sara Wallace. Her and I did a vendor booth together years ago which was fun. It has been even more fun to watch her grow into an amazing leader, wife, and mom. She is always learning and growing and challenges those around her to do the same.
My favorite though is one that I met at another vendor booth for a cloth diapering mom’s group. I met my friend Tonya there, among many other people. Who knew then that she would end up being one of my favorite friends?
That’s the beauty of Young Living. You meet like minded people who have similar goals, so you end up wanting to spend time with them, encouraging them in the pursuit of those goals. You learn and grow together, celebrating the successes of the people you care about.
It’s not just about business, though. When you truly find “your tribe,” you truly value the friendship, you form a true friendship. You share, laugh, and go through the happy and the tough moments of life together. In fact, we recently scheduled time together to work. We ended up doing no work. We talked and watched our kids play together the whole time. All the work was done through text later that evening!
Meeting people with goals and vision can help motivate you to find then reach your own goals and vision. The best way to succeed in life is to surround yourself with people who are already successful in the areas of life that you want to improve.
Young Living has them all! I have met faith-filled wives and mothers. I have met influential business leaders. I have met humble home-schooling moms. I have met health gurus. I have also met some of the most giving and generous people I know.
I want to be more like all these ladies (well, I am not so sure on the home school business, haha). I admire the amazing ladies I have met through Young Living and value their friendship. I hope to spend more and more time with these kinds of people. They are my tribe. I want to be like them, so I like to spend my time and energy with them.
